About CMG

CMG bowled recreationally for a while. He even had his own ball, and was in a league. He tried to hook the ball, but he didn’t know how, and got very frustrated trying to figure it out. One day he found Ron Clifton’s site. He went bowling, and was amazed at how much difference proper technique made. He was talking with the guy working the desk that day, who happened to have a Storm Trauma Response, which he let CMG try. First game was a 234, and an obsession was born. That was around April of 2006.

Today CMG has a 5 ball arsenal, a tournament victory, and some pretty decent technique, if he doesn’t mind saying so himself!

I can’t see the videos in your axis rotation article.
Do you have direct links to them ?

I was a big bowling fan back in the 80s as a kid. Now 15 yrs later, I’m back bowling regularly. With the help of video, I am now aware of my ugly release. After studying numerous instructional videos, I found that the release may be the most complex and misunderstood facet of bowling (and possibly the one of the most complex subjects in all sports!!). Your explanations and videos provide some of the best insights into a proper release. For those of us with weak wrists and hands, your video is a must. Hope after another year of practice, I can reach your level.

If you’re not PBA yet, you will be soon!! (if you want to, that is)

Picked up bowling again after a 10 year hiatus, and have been trying to learn it the “right” way this time. Right on about Ron C’s articles. Every time I throw a bad series I go back to his site and refresh, then hit the practice session. Loved your hand position / axis rotation articles with slow motion videos.
